The exhibition is aptly called TM-City which stands for ‘Typographic Masonry City’, where Dutch Designer Richard Niessen has created eight imaginary neighborhoods made out of over 150 works combining elements including fonts, shapes and colours. Taking the concept to the max, Niessen actually builds a city out of his designs creating a modular urban environment where flyers are stacked to form skyscrapers and posters laid out to illustrate parks.
Much of Fiona Banner's work explores the problems and possibilities of written language.
Cerith Wyn Evan’s conceptual practice incorporates a wide range of media, including installation works, sculptures, photography, film and text.
